KINGS POINT, N.Y., September 22, 2016 — Yesterday, maritime professionals and hiring managers from 23 companies, federal agencies, and maritime-related organizations participated in the United States Merchant Marine Academy’s (USMMA) annual career fair, Sea Fair 2016, held in O’Hara Hall.

KINGS POINT, N.Y., September 9, 2016 - Yesterday, United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) Midshipmen attended a pep rally in anticipation of the Secretaries' Cup, an annual football game between USMMA and The United States Coast Guard Academy (USCGA). KINGS POINT, N.Y., September 9, 2016 – Today, President Barack Obama, proclaimed Friday, September 9 through Sunday, September 11, 2016, as National Days of Prayer and Remembrance. He asked that the people of the United States "honor and remember the victims of September 11, 2001, and their loved ones through prayer, contemplation, memorial services, the visiting of memorials, the ringing of bells, evening candlelight remembrance vigils, and other appropriate ceremonies and activities."

KINGS POINT, N.Y., September 6, 2016 – Midshipmen at the United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) enjoyed the holiday weekend with their families and friends who joined them for Parents Weekend. Over 1,500 guests joined their Midshipmen for a full weekend of activities that included tours, classroom visits and a formal parade.

Jaenichen Sr.,  Deputy Maritime Administrator Michael J. Rodriguez, KP ’79, and USMMA Superintendent RADM James A. Helis, USMS, will take questions from parents, alumni, industry, and other Academy stakeholders.
