USMMA Color Guard and Regimental Band to March in NYC St. Patrick's Day Parade
KINGS POINT, N.Y., March 9, 2017 - The United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) Regimental Band, "George M. Cohan's Own", will march in New York City’s 256th St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Fifth Avenue, in Manhattan.
The parade, which is the world’s oldest and largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade, will be held on Thursday, March 17, starting at 11 a.m. This year’s Grand Marshall is Michael J. Dowling, President & CEO of Northwell Health.
The Parade starts at 44th Street, and participants will march up to 79th Street. The first four hours of the parade will be televised on WNBC, Channel 4 in New York. It will also available on the parade's website and NBC’s Live Stream: St. Patrick’s Day 2017.
