Welcome to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, where strong women receive the leadership development and technical expertise to lauch brilliant features. Our regimental system and unique curriculum provide the training and experience students need to become leaders of character and confidence. Nuclear engineers, naval architects, astronauts, executives, poiticians, admiralty lawyers, armed forces officers - Kings Point graduates have an incredible track record of building rewarding careers.

Kings Point is a place where serious men and women are challenged to work extremely hard in a close-knit community that's almost like family.Listed in The Princeton Review's "Best 351 Colleges" in America, King's Point is one of only five U.S. service academies. We offer students four years of top-quality education with no cost for education, room, board, books or uniforms. In exchange, graduates serve in paid positions in the maritime or transportation industry and as U.S. Naval Reserve Officer, or as Active Duty Officers in any of the Armed Forces.

Brilliant Futures

It's a system that works for our students. With a Bachelor of Science degree, a license as a merchant marine officer, and a commission as an Ensign in the U.S. Naval Reserve, more than 95% of students begin their careers almost immediately upon graduation. After six months, virtually every single graduate has a well-paid position. A recent study ranked the Academy in the top 20 among American colleges and universities for the percentage of graduates that go on to become presidents, vice-presidents, and directors of U.S. companies.

The student body at Kings Point is a remarkably diverse group of men and women from a wide variety of regions, religions, and ethnic backgrounds. Learning to work seamlessly as a team is one of the basic requirements of our students, and it is something the Academy excels at teaching.
