Morale Officers
Morale Officers
Morale Officers (MO) - Morale Officers are selected from each company and act as a representative on the morale team. The MO will work beyond their own company. These individuals are highly motivated and understand that the morale of one company affects the morale of all others. These programmers manage events for their own company as well as the regiment. They are almost like Resident Advisors (RAs) at a college or university, but these students deal mostly in the social and educational programming with none of the discipline. These positions are excellent leadership positions for those midshipmen interested in commissioning as a military officer. It's to tell someone what to do, but it takes much more for someone to follow a leader. Morale Officers learn how to get people to follow them and create positive opportunities for all to get involved.
Morale Officer Petty Officers (MPO) - Morale Petty Officers are selected from each company. The MPO will work beyond their own company. These individuals are also highly motivated and understand that the morale of one company affects the morale of all others. These programmers manage events mostly for their own company and help out as needed elsewhere. They are the midshipmen who get things done! This is an excellent leadership position for someone who aspires to be a Morale Officer or leader within their company. This is a position that provides opportunities to create and carry out programs from beginning to end.
These programmers keep very busy and have several responsibilities each month.
