The Campus Activities Board

Mission: The Campus Activities Board will empower midshipmen to involve their peers in student-led activities which will increase morale, build community, and foster pride in the Merchant Marine Academy.  Through optimism and shared responsibility, the CAB will work to change the campus culture and evolve to meet the needs of midshipmen, both on campus and at sea.

Vision: To be an active community of passionate and proud midshipman leaders.  

The Program Board reaches out to the Academy community by co-sponsoring major events and theme celebrations with other clubs and departments. The Campus Activities Board will provide a wide variety of educational, cultural, diverse, and community-building programs. Examples of events include visits by therapy dogs, Open Mics, concerts, novelties, barbecues, midshipman appreciation day as well as weekly movie screenings.

The United States Merchant Marine Academy is a member of both National Association of Campus Activities, as well as the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities.  We are also a subscriber to the Navy Motion Picture Service.
