USMMA Renews Memorandum of Understanding with Korean Maritime Ocean University

KINGS POINT, N.Y., February 16, 2018 -On Thursday, February 8th the United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) hosted a ceremony to celebrate the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between USMMA and the Korean Maritime and Ocean University (KMOU). The new agreement, which will be in place until 2022, was signed by Rear Admiral James A. Helis, USMMA Superintendent, Dr. Han-Il Park, President of KMOU and their Dean, Dr. Yun-Cheol Lee.

Mariner Women are Skyline Champions for a Second Year!

PURCHASE, N.Y., January 27, 2018 – The United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) women's swimming & diving team has earned its second-straight Skyline Conference Championship! The Mariners won the conference meet with a score of 587, ahead of second-place Mount St. Mary (343 points) and the rest of the eight-team field. 

Men’s Swim & Dive Team Earns 20th-Straight Conference Championship

PURCHASE, N.Y., January 27, 2018 – The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) men's swim & dive team has won its conference championship meet every year dating back to 1999 and made it 20-straight (17 under head coach Sean Tedesco) with a victory in the 2018 Skyline Championship Meet this weekend. The Mariners tallied 937 points over the two-day event, a good 600-plus points over second place SUNY Maritime (261).
