The United States Merchant Marine Academy is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104, 267-284-5000, https://www.msche.org.
The Statement of Accreditation Status (SAS) is the official statement of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) about each institution's current accreditation status and scope of accreditation. The SAS also provides a brief history of the actions taken by the Commission. Programmatic Accreditation
The United States Merchant Marine Academy has two degree programs accredited by ABET (formerly the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, but currently operating exclusively under the acronym). The Marine Engineering Systems program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET, under the General Criteria and Program Criteria for Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.
The Marine Engineering and Shipyard Management program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET, under the General Criteria and Program Criteria for Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.
