Gold and Silver Stars AY2018-2019T1

Academic Stars Criteria

Gold Star: a QPA of at least 3.50 with no course failures in the term.

Silver Star: a QPA of at least 3.25 up to and including 3.49 with no course failures in the term.

A student with any outstanding course work that resulted in the awarding of an “I” or incomplete grade is not eligible for a gold or silver star until the course work has been completed, and the change of grade form has been received by the Office of the Registrar from the course instructor.

KINGS POINT, N.Y., Oct. 15, 2019 –Midshipmen members of the United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) Newman Club recently traveled to Emmitsburg, Md., for the Annual Pilgrimage of the Sea Services. The Newman Club, named after Saint John Henry Newman, who was canonized a saint just this past weekend, is USMMA’s Catholic Club.
