Volunteers
Volunteers, including midshipmen at USMMA and locals from the communities of Nassau County are an important, even vital part of this museum’s operation. Individual midshipmen or clubs perform essential maintenance and organizational work, from working on the Emery Rice engine in Berger Hall to assisting, moving and cataloguing collections. Volunteers from the area, many of them recent retirees, also perform crucial duties such as leading tours and organizing the Museum’s extensive archives.
