KINGS POINT, N.Y., November 25, 2024 — The United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) is excited to announce that the job of Provost is open to applications on USAJOBS.GOV, the Federal Government’s official employment site.

Offering this opportunity is pursuant to the Academy’s mission, to educate and graduate leaders of exemplary character who are inspired to serve the national security, marine transportation, and economic needs of the United States as licensed Merchant Marine Officers and commissioned officers in the Armed Forces.

“We’re seeking a top tier individual who is prepared to take on the responsibilities of leading academics at the most challenging and demanding of the federal service academies,” said Academy Superintendent, Vice Admiral Joanna M. Nunan.

Kings Point is one of the Nation’s five federal service academies and the only one to graduate both civilian mariners who will serve in the U.S. flagged commercial fleet as well as officers who will be commissioned in every military branch.
