USMMA Issues Coronavirus Update #8 – Remote Library Services
KINGS POINT, N.Y. (March 26, 2020) –Today, USMMA issued updated Library service information, including new hours of operation and capabilities available remotely.
While the Library will remain closed to the public until further notice, the staff will continue to provide remote services during the COVID-19 public health crisis. Customers are urged to refer to the Library website at www.usmma.edu/library for additional information, including electronic resources available to users.
Please contact the Library directly with questions. Staff will respond during the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time, or by appointment. Contact information is available at the website address above.
For research and information needs, electronic resources (catalog, databases, ebooks, etc) can be found at: https://www.usmma.edu/academics/library/electronic-resources.
Please contact a Library staff member for access credentials, if required. If you are having any trouble finding information or conducting research, please contact a Librarian for help.
Additional resources available from the Library include:
HathiTrust Digital Library https://www.hathitrust.org/
Open Educational Resources (OER) https://www.oercommons.org/
Faculty and Instructors can get assistance with specific information needs by contacting the Library staff. The Library is able to conduct Research Workshops via Zoom. To access that capability, please schedule with a Librarian 48 business hours in advance to account for the challenges of remote communication.
Circulation due dates have been extended for USMMA owned material and we have requested extensions for items borrowed via Inter-library Loan. Please do not return any materials until further notice. Returning materials to other libraries or institutions risks their loss, so we would prefer you hold on to them until such time as the Library re-opens.
Any new Inter-library Loan borrowing or lending is suspended until further notice.
