Free Event on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 4:00 PM on Tomb Memorial Field

KINGS POINT, N.Y., October 4, 2024 - The United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) invites the public to the USMMA Community Salute Parade on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 4:00 PM. This special event will take place at the Academy on Captain Harvey Tomb Memorial Field, located at 300 Steamboat Road, Kings Point, NY.

The Community Salute Parade will feature the Academy’s Regiment of Midshipmen and the United States Merchant Marine Academy Regimental Band, "George M. Cohan's Own." This is a unique opportunity for the local community to experience the pride and tradition of the Academy. It is also a way for the Academy to say thanks for its strong community support.

Admission is free: Families and friends are encouraged to join the celebration and enjoy the impressive display of military precision and spirit that defines the Academy’s core values of Respect, Honor, and Service.

Parking and Accessibility:

Parking is available on the Academy grounds. Visitors must bring a valid photo ID for entry. For those traveling by public transport, a bus stop is located just outside the Academy’s entrance.
