KINGS POINT, N.Y. - April 5, 2024 - The United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) announces a memorial service to honor the life and legacy of Captain Kenneth R. Force, USMS, (Retired).

Captain Force served as USMMA’s Director of Music and Regimental Band, “George M. Cohan’s Own,” for an illustrious tenure spanning 45 years, from 1971 to 2016. His unwavering dedication and contributions to the Academy, alumni, and the maritime community will forever be remembered and cherished.

The Academy community honors Captain Force’s memory and invites all who knew him to join us in celebrating his remarkable life.
